Starting Friday night, part of Interstate 285 on the west side of Atlanta will be completely shut down in both directions.
All lanes of I‑285 westside will close May 8–11; expect major backups and detours via I‑20 and Langford Parkway.
All lanes will close near Cascade Road and MLK Jr. Drive, sending traffic onto local streets, I-20 and Downtown Connector.
